How to add MP3 support to the XMMS media player

Due to legal issues RedHat would rather not get into they don't support MP3 formats in XMMS. This applies all RedHat, Fedora Core & Yellow Dog Linux version (as far as I'm aware).

If you whant to add support for MP3 file formats in XMMS, run the following command, as Root, in the terminal.

yum install xmms-mp3

Depending upon your distro, you may need to logout of your current desktop session and relogin before the upgrade will be applied fully to your XMMS player.
